Is black granite suitable for exterior paving?
Yes. With a flamed or bush-hammered finish, black granite offers excellent slip resistance and withstands freeze–thaw cycles. We recommend 40–60 mm thickness for trafficked areas.
Which finishes work best for black granite?
Polished and honed bring out the depth of colour for cladding and interior work; flamed and bush-hammered are the standard for exterior paving and steps.
Will the colour stay uniform across a large order?
We select and grade every batch at origin, and document it. Within a variety, tone and grain are checked before loading so large surfaces read as one material.
