Frequently asked questions
Does yellow granite fade outdoors?
No. The colour comes from naturally weathered minerals, not surface treatment. Outdoors it stabilises and deepens slightly; it does not wash out.
Where does yellow granite come from?
Almost exclusively from the north of Portugal, in districts like Porto, Viseu and Vila Real. It is one of the most distinctive materials of the Iberian range.
What finishes suit yellow granite best?
Flamed, bush-hammered and sawn keep the warm, mineral look and give slip resistance. Polishing is possible but mutes the character of the grain.
Every stone we supply is traceable to the quarry it came from: producer, zone and batch, documented with your order.
